Statement Following the 2019 Candidate Forum

Bluffton, IN – The Wells County Republican Party released the following statement regarding the 2019 Bluffton Municipal Candidate Forum held earlier this evening:

“Tonight’s forum was a clear indication that the City of Bluffton is ready for our Republican candidates to lead the city forward in efforts to build a better Bluffton. When it comes to: better infrastructure, cleaner water, fighting the opioid epidemic, bringing businesses back to Bluffton, creating safe neighborhoods, expanding affordable and safe housing, keeping taxes low, and being fiscally responsible, we have the best plan. Together, our team has knocked on thousands of doors, hosted numerous meet and greets, and interacted with voters at community events.

“Our team is comprised of a diverse group of businesspeople, community activists, and proven leaders that bring a plethora of experience to the table. Our team has many political outsiders that are ready to bring a fresh, new voice to the for the citizens of Bluffton. The City of Bluffton is filled with potential, and we have what it takes to build Bluffton to the best it can be.

“In order to make this vision a reality, we need your votes for: John Whicker for Mayor, Rick Elwell for City Council At-Large, Roger Thornton for City Council District 1, Josh Hunt for City Council District 2, Janella Stronczek for City Council District 3, Scott Mentzer for City Council District 4, Tami Runyon for City Clerk-Treasurer, and Bob Bate for City Court Judge in this crucial election.”
