Wells County Republicans Report Strong Pre-Primary Fundraising, Far Outpace Democrats

Bluffton, IN – The Wells County Republican Party today announced a strong pre-primary campaign finance report, underscoring the party’s continued momentum heading into the upcoming primary election.

The party closed the reporting period with more than $51,000 cash on hand and zero debt, a clear sign of organizational strength and grassroots support across Wells County and beyond.

By comparison, the Wells County Democrat Party reported just over $6,000 cash on hand, meaning Republicans currently hold more than 8 times as much cash as local Democrats. Republicans fielded candidates for nearly the entire ballot, while Democrats put forward only a few, highlighting a clear contrast in local engagement.

“We are incredibly proud of the strength our party continues to demonstrate,” said Chairman Preston T. Wright. “This report is a testament to the trust and support we’ve earned from Republicans here in Wells County and across the state. Our supporters understand that organization and resources matter. Because of their generosity, we are well-positioned to invest in our candidates and ensure they have what they need to succeed.”

Following the primary election, the Wells County Republican Party stands ready to support Republican nominees in races where Democrats present a challenge.

“We are prepared to go on offense after the primary and back candidates who will stand up for our values,” Wright added. “We will continue to share a simple message with voters: Republicans are the party that gets things done.”
